Having a meeting in Utrecht?

Oudaen, a 13th century city castle, located in the heart of Utrecht at walking distance of the central train station, makes the ideal meeting location. Stadskasteel Oudaen offers a wide variety of halls. Thanks to the monumental and historical characteristics of this medieval city castle no hall is equal in size or atmosphere. For every type of business meeting (meeting, presentation, conference, congress, seminar, lecture, training or workshop) we offer proper accommodation.

Halls

Zoudenbalchhall
A bright hall with an oak parquet located at the front side of the castle on the 2nd floor, offering a beautiful view on the Oudegracht and the Dom tower (Domtoren).
The Zoudenbalchhall measures 5 x 7 m.
 
Linteloohall
The typical rafters decorating the castle’s high ridge and the wooden floor give this hall a very distinctive character.
The Linteloohall measures 6 x 12 m.

Couwenhovehall
The various window frames in the Couwenhovehall establish conclusive proof of the remarkable thickness of the castle wall. This hall has an oak parquet floor.
The Couwenhovehall measures 6 x 10 m.

Dirk van Houdaenroom
This room is said to be the most stylish one of all the rooms because of its distinguished atmosphere. The room contains a big wooden table which can be extended in order to accommodate a maximum of 36 persons.
The Houdaenroom measures 7 x 11 m.

Theatre
The theatre can accommodate 90 people, spread over 2 levels. The theatre has a fixed stage.  In mutual agreement we will decide upon the appropriate placing of stage material. Possible options are a lectern, forum- or board of governors table or the informal placing of some stand tables for debate. 
Although the theatre has daylight, it can be darkened for an optimal presentation projection.
Catering is unfortunately not possible in the theatre. Obviously water is always at the disposal of speakers. Depending on the number of persons the Room of taste and the Brewery can serve as reception or break area.

Brewery
As informal meeting accommodation we can recommend our home brewery. The brewery  area is split up in several, ancient vaults which are connected with each other. Besides one hall the Brewery can also serve as a kind of sub hall, offering three separate halls.
The authentic steam beer brewery forms the ideal breakout room for (lunch-) breaks when the Theatre hosts the plenary meeting.
